As a Sophomore (2017-18)
• Second-Team All-Ivy (Outdoor 4x100 relay)
• Scored at both Indoor and Outdoor Heps.
• Runner-up in the 4x100 relay (40.67) at outdoors and sixth in the 60 meters (7.02) indoors.
• Was also 11th in the 200 with a personal-record time (22.69) indoors and 13th in the 100 (10.90) and 16th in the 200 (22.26) outdoors.
• Tallied 11 top-10 finishes.
As a Freshman (2016-17)
• Emerged as a valuable sprinter as a just a freshman, scoring for Cornell with a fifth-place finish in the 100 meters (10.90) at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships while also helping his relay team place 22nd (40.79) in the 4x100 at the NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round.
• Throughout the track season, notched 10 top-three finishes in his events, including a win in the 100, a victory in the 4x100 relay and a triumph in the 4x400 relay at the competitive Armory Track Invitational.
Before Cornell
• Norris, a short sprinter, qualified for the state meet three times as an individual, including in 2016 when he captained his team to a state title.
• He also played four years of football.
• Norris was a member and secretary of the National Honor Society while in high school.

• James Thomas Norris is the son of Anthony Norris and Paula Divincenzo.
• He has a sister, Noelle, and a brother, Parker.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
