As a Junior (2015-16)
Enkler competed in seven meets for the Big Red during his junior season, making it all the way to the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships where he finished 15th in the triple jump (46’2.5”). He started off the years with a solid third place showing in the triple jump at the Cornell Sunday Invitational and then a fourth palce at the Marc Deneault Invitational. Outdoors, Enkler prefaced his Heps performance with a first place finish at the Big Red Invitational with the best jump of his college career (48’11.75”).

As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Enkler jumped out to a strong start his sophomore indoor season, winning the triple jump (46’ 6¼”) and taking second in the long jump (21’ 11 ¾”) at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open. He followed up with wins in the triple jump at the Beantown Challenge (47’ 7 ¾”) and the Kane Invitational (47’ 6 ¼”). He also picked up third-place triple jump finishes at the Upstate Challenge (47’ 9 ¾”) and the Deneault Memorial (47’ 4 ½”).

As a Freshman (2013-14)
Enkler looks to be the next wave in the line of successful Big Red jumpers. He had a busy debut season competing at 12 different events. He placed 5^th with a long jump of 22’ 3.5” in his first collegiate event at the Greg Page Relays. He continued his success with a 3^rd place finish in the triple jump at the Robert J. Kane Invitational. Enkler had a great showing at the Ithaca College Quad Meet. He posted indoor career bests in both the triple jump (46’ 10”) and long jump (22’ 3.5”) to finish 1^st and 4^th respectively. He continued his success outdoors, equaling his career best long jump in a 4^th place finish at the Bison Outdoor Classic. He marked a career best outdoor triple jump of 47’ 9” for a 3^rd place finish at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational. At the Outdoor Heps, the freshman had a solid showing finishing 12^th in the long jump (22’ 0.25”) and 10^th in the triple jump (46’ 8”).

Before Cornell
Enkler was a member of the outdoor track and field team at Our Lady of Lourdes HS for four years, and the indoor track and field team for two. While captaining both teams his final two seasons, he was named All-Section in the long, triple and high jump events. Enkler aslo played soccer in high school and was named to the All-State Class B soccer team his senior year in 2012.

John Joseph Enkler is the song of John and Christina Enkler and has one older sister, Kathleen. John is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
