2010-11 Men's Track and Field Roster
Biography
At Cornell
After a very challenging freshman year this former New York state champ started to come into his own as a sophomore. Jumping behind 3 guys who have spanned over 50 feet in the triple jump, Remouns continued to work hard to improve as he jumped 48’1”at Penn State during the indoor season and qualified for the IC4A’s. During the outdoor season his talents seemed to switch to the long jump as he improved dramatically all the way to 23’9” again qualifying for the IC4A’s. Consistent weight training this summer has already made Julian a better jumper and improved technique throughout the year could get him to the NCAA Regional standard of 15.00m and the magic 50’ mark. He’s still looking for his first HEPS points but plans to score in both events indoors and out.
Before Cornell
Remouns was the New York state champion indoors and outdoors with a best effort of 47-11. He also served as his team's jumps captain for two seasons and was a two-time sectional champion.
Personal
Julian Christopher Remouns is the son of George Remouns and Janet Bartlett-Remouns, and he has an older brother and a younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
