Before Cornell
Delaroche served as captain of the track and field team as a senior while also playing four years of football and two years of basketball. He was a part of a sectional championship football team.

Karl Oscar Delaroche is the son of Oscar Delaroche and Leslie Rygh and has a younger brother. He is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
