Biography
At Cornell
After walking on his freshman year, DeLaroche has progressed steadily as a 400 and 500 runner. He set an outdoor college personal best in the 400 meters as a junior. As a sophomore he set his indoor 500 meter personal best before having his outdoor season derailed by mononucleosis.
Before Cornell
DeLaroche was a two sport letter winner at Napa High school in track and football. On the track he placed 10th in the 400 meters of the Sac-Joaquin Section Masters meet his senior year while also placing sixth at the Sacramento Meet of Champions and second at the Oakland Invitational Relays. He also qualified for the section masters meet in the Triple Jump and as a member of his school’s 4x400 Meter Relay Team. His senior year he ran the fastest 400 meter in nearly a decade at Napa High School and captained the track team to a tie with its best MEL finish in school history. On the football field he was a member of Napa High’s first ever section championship winning team.
