Biography

Before Cornell
Goettert was a state champion in Louisiana in cross country and pulled off the 1600m/3200m double in track and field as a junior and as a senior. He was named to the state's all-star team in 2007 and won recognition as a Star of Stars of Baton Rouge in 2006 and 2007.

Philipp Dirk Martin Goettert is the son of Jost Goettert and Andrea Noner-Goettert and has a younger brother and a younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
