Zidani's up-to-date results

As a Senior (2016-17)
Zidani competed in the hurdles and sprints for Cornell during his senior season, earning four top 10 finishes in the hurdles and eight top 10 finishes in the sprints. Indoors, he provided depth in the 5000, placing in the top 10 on seven occasions, including a collegiate best 1:05.83 for third at the Columbia East-West Challenge. Outdoors, he hit a collegiate best 53.79 in the 400 hurdles at the Transatlantic Series and finished second at the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet and third at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational.

As a Junior (2015-16)
Zidani competed in nine indoor meets as a junior. He set a personal best in the 60 meter hurdles at the Cornell Sunday Invitational (8.31) and took home third place. He finished in the top 10 in the 60 meter hurdles on five occasions and was part of the second place 4x400 meter realy team at the Southern Tier Collegiate Open.

As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Zidani continued to compete primarily in the hurdles during his sophomore season. His indoor season was highlighted by second-place finishes in the 60 hurdles (8.47) at the Kane Invitational and the 500 (1:07.23) at the Deneault Memorial. His 4x400 relay also finished runner-up at the Cornell Sunday Invitational. Outdoors, his shuttle hurdle relay team set a new school record with a 58.10 finish in the Championship of America. Individually, he picked up a second-place mark in the 100 hurdles (15.16) at the Princeton Invitational and in the 400 hurdles (55.61) at the Upstate Challenge, where he also finished third in the 110 hurdles (14.80). 

As a Freshman (2013-14)
Zidani was an immediate contributor in the sprint and sprint hurdles during his freshman season. His best showing of indoor season came at the Ithaca College Quad Meet. He helped the 4x4 team take 1^st place, while also adding a 3^rd place finish in the 60 hurdles and a 1^st place finish with a season best time of 52.49 in the 400. Outdoors, he concluded his season on a strong note at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational. He posted career best times in the 110 hurdles (14.96) and the 400 hurdles (56.18).

Before Cornell 
Zidani was a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams at Central Regional HS as a high hurdler and captained the teams every season beginning his sophomore year. He set the individual school record in high hurdles his junior year and received All-American honors after placing sixth at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals that same year. Additionally, he was named First Team All-County and First Team All-Shore in 2012 and 2013, respectively. 

Personal
Richard (Rachid) Franklin Zidani is the son of Michele Zidani and has two sisters, Maria and Sophia. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
