2002-03 Men's Track and Field Roster
Biography
At Cornell: Rich surprised everyone, including himself, as he established himself as one of the best long jumpers in the league. His best leap of his freshman season came at the Heps, where he finished third with a mark of 23-9, an incredible two-foot improvement over his high school best. As a sophomore, Rich took on more activities outside of the team that held him back, but a rested and focused junior can do some amazing things, and he has set his goals to go over 24-feet and possibly become a Heps champion. For the third year in a row, he[apos]ll have to go through his teammates to get there. Jones was the top freshman at the IC4A[apos]s in 2002 and wants to get back to that level.
