Biography

Robbins' up-to-date results

As a Junior (2013-14)
After a run to the NCAA championships as one of the nation’s premier javelin throwers the previous season, Robbins was limited in his junior season. He was only able to participate in two events, but made both of them count. He kicked off his season at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. Already holding the school record, he shattered the mark from last season by 13’ 2” with an outstanding throw of 246’ 6” to take home 2nd place. He upped the record by 2’ 5” in his last event of the season, throwing a 248’ 11” missle to take 1st place at the Bison Outdoor Classic.

As a Sophomore (2012-13)
After transferring from Kent State, Robbins made an immediate impact in the javelin. He won the Penn Relays College section of the javelin with a throw of 231' 10", claimed the Outdoor Heps title by nearly two full meters, and then won the Outdoor IC4As by nearly three meters of his closest competitor. Robbins set the school record when he threw the javelin 233' 4" at the Outdoor IC4As. Robbins qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships by taking 10th at the NCAA East Regional in Greensboro, N.C.

Before Cornell
Robbins is a sophomore transfer who will bring immediate credibility to the javelin. With a best of 221 feet, he was an NCAA qualifier in 2012 who will challenge for a Heps title right away.

Personal
Robert Bruce Robbins is the son of Robert and Shiela Robbins. He has three brothers -- Joseph, Michael and Daniel -- and two sisters -- Andrea and Meredith.
