Prior to Cornell
• Finished seventh in the 800-meter at the 2019 OHSAA Outdoor State Championships.
• Placed second in the district and third in the conference in the 800-meter during the 2019 outdoor season.
• Guided Solon High School's 4x800-meter relay team to a sixth place finish at the 2020 indoor state championships.
• Helped Solon to a third-place team finish at the 2020 OHSAA State Cross Country Championships.
• Notched a seventh-place individual finish at the conference cross country meet in 2019.
• Three-time All-Ohio State performer.
• Captained Solon's cross country and track and field teams in 2019-20.
• Also played three years of hockey in high school.

• Sam V Young is the son of David Young and Marilena DiSilvio, and he has a younger brother.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
