At Cornell

Concentrating solely on the discus paid big dividends for Jaffee as he established himself among the elite discus throwers in the country. A consummate technician who is as dedicated to his lifting as he is to his technique Jaffee had a breakout season in 09’ which included breaking the 30 year old school record in the discus with his 178’-4 he threw to win the Quaker Invitational. Jaffee was a participant in the Championship of America discus at the Penn Relays, a 6th place finisher at the IC4A’s and an NCAA Regional finalists in the discus placing 7th, just missing his first trip to the NCAA’s. In addition, Jaffee will be one of Cornell’s tri-captains for the 09-10 season. Look for him to continue to improve and to be among the best discus throwers in the country.

Before Cornell
Jaffee finished second in 2006 at the Ohio state championship discus in Division III and was his region’s champion in the discus. The three-time state qualifier was also a member of the 4x100 and 4x200 relay, a starter on his high school basketball team and a goalie in soccer.  His HS bests were 51’3” in the shot and 155” in the discus.
