• Ran in the 4x800 at the Greg Page Relays for a first-place finish (12/7).
As a Freshman (2018-19)
• Did not compete in any outdoor meets.
• Ran in four indoor meets.
• Finished first at the Robert J Kane Invitational in the 800m (1/26).
• Earned an 800m PR of 1:58.78 and a fifth place finish at the Marc Deneault Invitational (2/16).
• Helped the 4x800m relay team finish in fourth place at the Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships (2/23-24).
• Was a member of the 4x800m relay team that finished 2nd in prelims and 6th in the finals at the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Championships (3/1-3).
• Did not compete in any cross country meets.
Before Cornell
• Was a four-year member of the track and field team at Valley Stream North High School and a three-year member of the cross country team.
• Johnson competed in a variety of middle distance events in high school, earning two All-Conference awards and four All-County awards, including winning the 600m county championship.
• In 2018, he earned All-State and All-Federation awards during the indoor track season.
• As a senior, Shane was named captain for both cross country and track and field.

• A member of the math, science and language honor societies, he served as vice president of the national honor society.

• Shane Walter Johnson is the son Ricardo and Carol Johnson and he has a brother and a sister.
• His sister, Shanice Johnson, competed for Marshall University as a sprinter from 2012-16.
• He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
