As a Senior (2012-13)
Izen set a new personal best in the 400 in his senior year, running 55.66 at the Ithaca Bomber Invitational in February. He competed in nine meets for Cornell during his last year with the team.
Before Cornell
Izen earned four letters in track and field as a sprinter while also playing football for seven seasons, earning three letters as a wide receiver.

Steven Charles Izen is the son of Mark and Carol Izen and has a younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
