As a Senior (2016-17)
Harnett threw the javelin in three meets for Cornell during his senior year. He had seasonal best of 171’1” at the Bison Outdoor Classic, finished just one spot outside the top 10 at the Larry Ellis Invitational and finished second at the Big Red Outdoor Invitational.
As a Junior (2015-16)
Harnett finished in the top 10 in the javelin of each meet he competed in, including a first place finish at the Big Red Invitational with a throw of 171’0”. He also earned a second place finish at the Cornell Outdoor Upstate Challenge (175’3”) before ending the season with a ninth place finish at the Ivy League Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a throw of 168’6”.
As a Sophomore (2014-15)
Harnett excelled at outdoor home events in his sophomore season, picking up a win in the javelin at the Big Red Invitational”. He also took second at the Upstate Challenge and third at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.
As a Freshman (2013-14)
Harnett competed in three events during his debut season for the Big Red. His career got off to a flying start at the Cortland Classic Invitational when he launched a javelin 184’ 9” to take 1
st place at the event. He wrapped up his season with a 3
rd place finish at the Cornell Outdoor Invitational.
