As a Senior (2012-13)
Zeller lowered his personal best in the 110 hurdles by six tenths of a second in his senior season, running in 14.31 seconds at the Outdoor Heps where he placed fourth to score four points for Cornell. He also ran at the Outdoor IC4As, placing 21st. Indoors, Zeller again took fourth place in the 60 hurdles, scoring four more points for Cornell. And at the Indoor IC4As, he was 13th in the 60 hurdles.
He had a personal best time in the 60 hurdles in that meet.
As a Junior (2011-12)
Zeller started the year strong, taking fifth place in the 60 hurdles at the Indoor Heps and scoring two points for Cornell. He followed that with an IC4A qualification where he took 22nd place in the same event. At the end of the 2012 season, he holds the seventh-fastest time in school history in the 60 hurdles (8.25 seconds).
As a Sophomore (2010-11)
Battling injury his freshman year, Zeller wasn’t able to compete in his freshman outdoor track season. As a sophomore, he made the HEPS squad at the end of his outdoor season and placed sixth in the 110m high hurdles at the 2011 Outdoor HEPS Championships.
Before Cornell
Zeller was third in the state in both the 110m hurdles and the 400m hurdles as a senior while serving as team captain. He also played soccer, earning second-team all-state honors, and basketball, garnering Section V all-tournament team honors as well, while serving as captain of those two teams.
Personal
Zachary Alverde Zeller is the son of Brett Zeller and Margaret Caswell and has a younger brother and a younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
