Biography
At Cornell
Timmons rowed in the open four during his sophomore season, helping the crew to a first place finish in the Petite Finals at the 2012 IRA Championship.
At Maple Hill High School
Timmons stroked the double crew for four years at Maple Hills high school, serving as team captain. He won back-to-back NY state championships in the quad in 2007 and 2008 and was a NY state champion in the double in 2009. Timmons placed second at the NY state championships in the double in 2010 and took sixth place at USRowing nationals in the double in 2009. Timmons was also a member of the Albany Rowing Center.
Personal
Alex Gerald Timmons is the son of Kevin and Pamela Timmons. He has one older sister and one younger brother and sister. His older sister, Sarah, is a member of the SUNY Oneonta track and field team. Timmons is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
