At Cornell
Junior (2015-16): Pfeiffer rowed with the fourth varsity eight throughout his junior season, winning a bronze medal at the 2016 Eastern Sprints. He helped the Big Red to wins over Harvard, Navy, Syracuse, Penn, and Dartmouth during the cup season. He also rowed in the varsity four at the 2016 IRA National Championship and helped the Big Red to a fourth place finish in the Petite Final to take 10th overall.

Sophomore (2014-15): During his sophomore season, Pfeiffer was a member of the third varsity eight that won the bronze medal at the 2015 ECAC Sprints, before rowing with the same crew to a third place finish in the Petite Final of the 2015 IRA Regatta.

Freshman (2013-14): In his first season with the Big Red, Pfeiffer rowed in the fourth varsity eight that finished in sixth place overall at the 2014 Eastern Sprints.

Prior to Cornell
Pfeiffer lettered three times in rowing at The Pine School, serving as team captain during his junior and senior seasons. Pfeiffer also lettered three times in golf and twice in basketball. He was a founding member of the Treasure Coast Rowing Club, serving as team captain twice and winning two team MVP awards. .
 
Personal
Alexander Emerson Preiffer is the son of Eric and Marsha Pfeiffer and he has one younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
