Sauvageau was a four-time letter winner at Canisius high school, serving as captain as a senior. He won his team’s Letterman of the Year award in 2009 and the McCormack award in 2007.

Andrew Philip Sauvageau is the son of Philip and Sandra Sauvageau and he has two younger sisters. He is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
