Biography
At Cornell
Sophomore (2015-16): Long helped the fourth varsity eight to wins over Syracuse and Navy in a battle for the Stagg Points Plate, before rowing with the third varsity eight to victory over Penn and Dartmouth for the James Wray Memorial Trophy. He rowed in the third varsity eight that finished fourth at the 2016 Eastern Sprints, missing out on a bronze medal by three-tenths of a second. At the 2016 IRA National Championship, he helped the third varsity eight to a second place finish in the Petite Finals to take eighth place overall.
Freshman (2014-15): In his first season, Long rowed with the first freshmen eight that had the Big Red’s  best finish of the day at the 2015 IRA Regatta, advancing to the Grand Finals and crossing the line fifth overall. He also rowed with the first freshmen eight that took fourth overall at the 2015 ECAC Sprints.
