Biography
At Cornell
Frendl will serve as the team Commodore for the 2010 season. He represented the United States as a member of the men’s four with coxswain at the 2009 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Racice, Czech Republic, and helped his crew to a fifth-place finish overall. A versatile rower, he stroked the jayvee as a junior and provided an enormous amount of leadership in that position. He made several runs at the varsity in 2009 and could be a huge weapon in the varsity boat in the upcoming season.
At St. John’s HS
Frendl rowed five years at St. John’s high school, lettering twice.
Personal
Christopher Mate Frendl is the son of Gyorgy Frendl and Gyongyi Szabo and he has one older brother. He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Live Sciences.
