At Cornell
As a junior, Vergara coxed the second varsity eight that won the Petite Finals at the 2015 ECAC Sprints, before taking second in the Petite Finals of the 2015 IRA Regatta. She also coxed the second varsity eight that beat Navy and Syracuse to help the Big Red to win consecutive Stagg Trophies for the first time since winning four straight from 2001-04. During her sophomore season, Vergara coxed the second varsity eight to a second place finish in the Petite Final to take eighth overall at the 2014 Eastern Sprints. The crew then bested its seed by one spot at the 2014 IRA Regatta, finishing ninth overall. Vergara coxed the fourth varsity eight that finished just outside the medals with a fourth-place finish at the 2013 EARC Sprints.
