At Cornell
Conant was a member of the second varsity 8 during his sophomore season and could make a run at the varsity 8 boat during his junior year. As a rookie, he was a member of the Open-4 boat that won the gold medal and set a course record at the 2010 IRAs.

At The Dexter School
Conant earned four varsity letters at the Dexter School, serving as team captain as a senior. He was the stroke of the boat in his final two seasons, earning his team’s MVP award both years after helping the crew to qualify for back-to-back NEIRA Championship appearances. Conant was also a member of the Boston Rowing Club, where he took first place in the junior eights with coxswain at the 2008 Cromwell Cup before placing third at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. He also lettered four times in basketball.

Personal
Gilman Wright Conant III is the son of Gilman and Peace Conant. His great grandfather Ralph Conant graduated from Cornell. Conant is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
