Biography
At Cornell
Waters earned a varsity letter with Cornell’s lightweight crew in 2008, before making the move to the heavyweight team midway through the 2009 season and earning a letter. He immediately took on an enormous leadership role on the team and should continue to lead the heavyweights next season.
At TC Williams HS
Waters earned four varsity letter winners at TC Williams high school, serving as the crew’s coxswain. He was named to the Washington Post All-Met honorable mention team in 2006.
Personal
Ian Jacob Waters is the son of Robert Waters and Barbara Fiedler and he has one younger sister. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
