Biography
At Cornell
Carbone rowed in the second varsity eight during his junior season, helping the crew to a fourth place finish at the 2012 EARC Sprints and a second place finish in the Petite Finals at the 2012 IRA Championship. During the regular season, he helped the second varsity eight to victories over Georgetown, UCSD, Syracuse, Navy, Princeton, Yale and Penn. Carbone had a solid sophomore season after rowing as a member of the freshmen eight crew that won the bronze medal at the 2010 Eastern Sprints before finishing in fourth place at the IRAs.
At Redwood High School
Carbone rowed for the Marin Rowing Association. During his time with the club team, he served as the novice team captain in 2005-06 and the varsity team captain in 2008-09.
Personal
John Dante Carbone is the son of Jim and Alison Carbone and he has one older brother and one younger sister. His brother Nick is a senior at Cornell. Carbone is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
