Biography
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• Rowed on the men’s championship four boat at the Head of the Charles Regatta, helping Cornell to a top-10 finish, as the Big Red placed 10th in 16:23.94.
• Helped the Cornell B 4+ boat to a seventh place finish in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, as the boat completed the race in 12:41.78.
• Rowed on the Cornell A 8+ boat in Flight 2 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, helping the group place fourth among 22 boats and post the fastest Big Red heavyweight time (11:13.67) of the day.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Rowed in seven regattas during his freshman campaign, starting out on the third varsity eight and working his way up to the second varsity eight by the end of the season.
• Occupied the third seat on the second varsity eight boat at four-consecutive regattas to close the season.
• Helped row the second varsity eight to victory in 5:38.97 against Penn and Georgetown, guiding the Big Red to the James Wray Memorial Trophy.
• Helped guide the second varsity eight to a fourth place finish in the Petite Final at the 2019 EARC Sprints, finishing 10th overall.
• Rowed the second varsity eight to a sixth place at the 2019 IRA National Championships, placing 12th overall.
Prior to Cornell
• Rowed for four years at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
• Silver medal in the men's first varsity 4+ A-final at the 2018 New England Youth Rowing Championships.
• Placed fifth in the men's 4+ C-final at the 2018 National Youth Rowing Championships.
• Took fifth in the men’s first varsity 4+ A-final at the 2017 New England Youth Rowing Championships.
• Third place finish in the men’s first varsity 4+ B-final at the 2017 New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championships.
• Winner of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School’s Hammer Award in 2016 and 2017, given for the best 2,000 meter erg test score.
• School record holder for the 2,000 meter erg test.
• Competed in cross country skiing for four years at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
Personal
• Jackson Pilgrim Hardin is the son of Corey Hardin and Carol Pilgrim.
• Enrolled in the College of Engineering.
