Biography
As a sophomore (2019-20)
• Did not compete (Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19).
As a freshman (2018-19)
• Competed in one regatta, the Cornell Autumn Classic, during his freshman season.
• Rowed in the third seat on the third Varsity eight boat and the second seat on the sixth Varsity four boat.
Prior to Cornell
• Earned five varsity letters in sculling and four varsity letters in rowing at Malvern Prep.
• Back-to-back gold medals in the boys’ quad at the SRAA National championships (2017, 2018).
• Earned three consecutive gold medals at the Philadelphia City Championships, winning the boys’ quad in 2017 and 2018 after placing first in the boys’ double in 2016.
• Two-time gold medalist in the boys’ quad at the Stotesbury Championship (2017, 2018).
• Selected for 2017 Youth Regional Challenge.
• Earned two varsity letters in golf at Malvern Prep.
Personal
• John David McGlinn is the son of John and Melissa McGlinn and he has two brothers and one sister.
• Enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
