Biography

As a senior (2019-20)

• Coxed the Cornell E 4+ boat in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, as the team completed the race in 13:06.79.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.

As a junior (2018-19)

• Competed in six regattas during her junior campaign.
• Began the season as the coxswain on the fourth varsity eight, working her way up to the third varsity eight by the end of the season.
• Led the third varsity eight to a fifth place finish in the Petite Final at the 2019 EARC Sprints, placing 11th overall.
• Guided the third varsity eight to a win in the Third Level Final at the 2019 IRA National Championships, finishing 13th overall.
• Coxed the first varsity four against Penn and Georgetown, helping Cornell win the James Wray Memorial Trophy.

As a sophomore (2017-18)

• Coxed the fourth varsity eight throughout the 2017-18 season.
• Led the fourth varsity eight to victory in the Petite Final at the 2018 EARC Sprints to take seventh place finish overall.

As a freshman (2016-17)

• Coxed the fourth varsity eight during her rookie season.
• As the coxswain, she helped the fourth varsity eight take second in their heat at the Carnegie Cup, falling to Princeton yet defeating Yale.

Prior to Cornell

• Both rowed and coxed at The Winsor School, serving as team captain during the 2014-15 season.
• As a member of the Girls 4+ crew, she helped Winsor win the team points trophy at the NEIRA Championships in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
• Won The Winsor School Crew Cup, awarded to the rower who made the greatest contribution to the team.
• Also lettered three times in ice hockey at The Winsor School.

Personal

• Katherine Margaret Hintlian is the daughter of Cornell alumni Jamie ’82 and Carolyn Hintlian ’83 and she has two brothers.
• Her father rowed for the Big Red men’s lightweight rowing team.
• Enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
