Biography
• IRA All-Academic Team (2017)
Junior (2015-16): Train opened her junior season coxing the varsity four to victory over Harvard before moving into the fifth varsity eight. At the 2016 Eastern Sprints, she coxed the crew to a fourth place finish.
Sophomore (2014-15): During her sophomore season, Train was the coxswain of the fourth varsity eight that won the gold medal at the 2015 ECAC Sprints. She also coxed the varsity four with coxswain at the 2015 IRA Regatta that struggled with injury and finished in 12th place.
Prior To Cornell
Train rowed for three seasons at the Twin Cities Youth Rowing club, where she was named captain of the varsity girls in 2012-13.
Personal
Marissa Jean Train is the daughter of Mike and Jean Train and she has one older sister, Stephanie ’08, and two brothers. Both of her parents also graduated from the Johnson School of Business in 1991. Train is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
