Biography
As a freshman (2019-20)
• Rowed from the sixth seat on the Big Red’s men’s championship eight boat at the Head of the Charles Regatta, helping Cornell post a time of 14:54.47.
• Helped the Cornell A 4+ boat to a fourth place finish in Flight 1 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, as the boat was the top Big Red finisher of the event in 12:24.59.
• Rowed on the Cornell A 8+ boat in Flight 2 at the Cornell Autumn Classic, helping the group place fourth among 22 boats and post the fastest Big Red heavyweight time (11:13.67) of the day.
• Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19.
Prior to Cornell
• Competed on the club rowing circuit for OARS.
• Guided his OARS boat to a second place finish at the Southwest Championship Regatta.
• His OARS boat then advanced to the US Rowing Youth Nationals, where it finished 10th overall.
• Also played three years of water polo at Miramonte HS, helping his team to the 2016 NCS Championship.
Personal
• Maxwell Thomas Kreutzelman is the son of Michael Kreutzelman and Barbara Boster and has two sisters.
• He is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
