As a junior, Tarnapoll rowed in the varsity eight that finished in seventh place overall at the 2014 Eastern Sprints, its best finish since taking fourth in 2009. During the regular season, the freshmen eight earned victories over Georgetown, UCSD, Syracuse, Navy, Princeton, Yale and Penn. An exceptional student-athlete, Strickland also earned a 4.0 grade-point average in the fall of 2011.Â
