At Cornell
Junior (2015-16): Kelly coxed the fourth varsity eight throughout her junior season, winning a bronze medal at the 2016 Eastern Sprints. She helped the Big Red to wins over Harvard, Navy, Syracuse, Penn, and Dartmouth during the cup season. She also rowed in the varsity four at the 2016 IRA National Championship and helped the Big Red to a fourth place finish in the Petite Final to take 10th overall. After the season, Kelly coxed the Cornell eight to the quarterfinal round of the Temple Challenge Cup at the 177th edition of the Henley Royal Regatta.

Sophomore (2014-15): During her sophomore season, Kelly coxed the third varsity eight that won the bronze medal at the 2015 ECAC Sprints, before coxing the same crew to a third place finish in the Petite Final of the 2015 IRA Regatta. 

Freshman (2013-14): In her first season with the Big Red, Kelly coxed the freshmen eight to a bronze medal at the 2014 Eastern Sprints. The crew went on to be the Big Red's lone boat to race in the Grand Finals of the 2014 IRA Regatta and placed sixth in the nation.

Prior to Cornell
Kelly lettered three times at Nardin Academy, serving as captain during her senior season. She earned the team’s Most Improved Award in 2010 and was named a Section VI All-Western New York Scholar-Athlete in 2013. She was also a member of the West Side Rowing Club Juniors.
 
Personal
Rachel Elizabeth Kelly is the daughter of Kevin and Beth Kelly and she has one younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
