At Upper Canada College
Pauly rowed for three years at Upper Canada College, earning one varsity letter. He helped his midweight-8 crew to a silver medal at the Canadian Henley School Boys Regatta.

Reid Barrett Pauly is the son of Louis Pauly and Caryl Clark and he has one older sister. Both his mother and father earned their PhDs from Cornell. He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
