Biography
As a freshman (2019-20)
• Did not compete (Spring 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19).
Prior to Cornell
• Rowed for three years for Parati Competitive Rowing in The Woodlands, Texas.
• Moved to California following his senior year and rowed for Capital Crew in Sacramento, Calif.
• Helped his men’s 4+ boat to a gold medal at the US Rowing Regionals and a ninth place finish at the US Rowing National Championships in 2019.
• Guided his men’s 2- boat to a bronze medal at the 2018 US Rowing Regionals and an 11th place overall finish at the 2018 US Rowing Youth Nationals.
• Finished first and was the Belt Buckle recipient at the 2018 Erg Rodeo.
• Helped the junior varsity 8+ take silver and the junior varsity 4x take bronze at the at the 2018 Heart of Texas regatta.
• Also won bronze with the men’s 2x at the 2018 Head of the Hooch regatta, as well as at the 2018 S.W.E.A.T. Indoor Erg Competition.
Personal
• Robert James Robinson II is the son of Rob and Sara Robinson and has two older sisters.
• His oldest sister, Jessie Robinson, was a member of the women’s rowing team at Texas.
• His other sister, Cassie Robinson, rowed on the women’s lightweight club team at UC Berkeley.
• He is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
