At Cornell
Allie Brewster joined the Cornell softball coaching staff in the summer of 2018 where she will have responsibilities in nearly every aspect of the program's daily operations, including working closely with the team's pitchers.
Cornell's pitching staff looked to take a step in the right direction in 2020 before the season ended prematurely. Freshmen pitchers Mia Burd and Gabrielle Maday each owned ERA's under 3.00 as the primary starting pitchers for the Big Red, with Burd owning a 3-1 record and Maday leading the team with a 2.33 ERA.
Injuries plagued the Big Red pitching staff in 2019, but Brewster helped hold together a staff that often had just two available pitchers. Freshman Ashley Delany earned honorable mention All-Ivy honors and both Delany and Katie Lew ranked in the top six in the conference in innings pitched.
Prior to Cornell
Brewster spent two seasons as an assistant coach on Coach Angela Froboese's staff at Southwestern University (Texas). The team posted a 50-30 overall record during that stretch, with 10 players earning all-conference honors and four garnering NFCA Scholar-Athlete accolades. She helped the team to SCAC conference championship game appearances in both seasons in the dugout.
She previously spent a year as the co-head coach and pitching instructor at the Chicago Bulls/Sox Academy in Lisle, Ill.
A two-time America East Pitcher of the Year and a three-time first-team all-league selection during her four-year varsity career at Stony Brook, Brewster posted a 77-40 career record with a 2.40 ERA. She hurled 81 complete games with 34 shutouts, allowing just 595 hits in 772.1 innings of work with 685 strikeouts. She also established a school record for saves, joining her career marks for wins and complete games.
Brewster was twice named to the America East All-Tournament team, capturing MVP accolades as a sophomore. She recorded a pair of no-hitters as a freshman en route to second-team all-region accolades.
