2024 | JUNIOR SEASON
Second-team All-CSFL selection … chosen to receive the Lt. Donald Sussman Most Valuable Player Award on defense … recorded 34 total tackles (26 solo, eight assisted) … forced a fumble and intercepted two passes with three breakups on the season … ran for 58 yards on a fake punt … had four tackles with two interceptions and a pass breakup in a 24-23 win over St. Thomas Aquinas to earn CSFL Defensive Player of the Week honors … forced a fumble and broke up two passes in the season finale against Mansfield … earned a spot on the 2024 CSFL All-Academic team.

2023 | SOPHOMORE SEASON 
Played in six games… finished second on the team with 41 tackles… had 3.5 tackles for a loss of yards… broke up three passes... was named to the All-CSFL academic team.

PRIOR TO CORNELL
Applegate was a multi-sport athlete at North Country Union HS … played four years of varsity soccer as a center midfielder, right wing, and striker … served as team captain in 2021 and earned first-team all-conference honors … also a four-year member of the basketball program, helping his team reach the state finals in 2021 and the state semifinals in 2022 … competed in tennis for two years, advancing to the state quarterfinals in 2021.

PERSONAL
Ian S. Applegate is the son of Benjamin and Jessica Applegate and has one sister, Reeve '28 … he is enrolled in the College of Engineering.
