Biography

As a senior (2014)
Briggs hit .207 with three RBI in 31 total games played, including 22 starts. She posted career highs in hits and RBI. Briggs was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in a victory over Delaware and was 1-for-1 with a pair of walks against Columbia. She opened the season with a four-game hit streak, driving in runs in each of her first three games of the season.

As a junior (2013)
Briggs played in 24 contests with six starts and hit .176 with two runs scored and an RBI. She primarily saw action as a pinch runner and defensive substitution, but was 2-for-3 with an RBI at Stetson. She also had a hit in a pinch hitting situation against Penn and scored runs against the Quakers and Yale as a pinch runner.

As a sophomore (2012)
Briggs played in 28 contests with 10 starts in the outfield and saw significant action as a defensive specialist in center. Briggs batted .192 with an RBI and four runs scored. She was perfect in 20 fielding chances in the outfield, including several sparkling defensive plays. She was 1-for-1 with an RBI single against Akron and was 0-for-1 with two walks and two runs scored at George Mason.

As a freshman (2011)
Briggs batted .174 in 36 contests, including five starts, during her freshman season. Used primarily as a defensive substitution in the outfield, Briggs scored four runs at the plate and stole a base. She earned her first career start against Binghamton a day after collecting her first career hit against George Mason.

At Middletown HS
Briggs was a four-time all-state selection, including a first team member three times, at Middletown HS. She was named first-team all-league in each of her four seasons in the outfield for the four-time conference champions. She was named team MVP as a senior and earned the school's Athlete of the Year. Briggs was selected to play in the Blue-Gold Senior All-Star Game in 2010.

Personal
Jennifer Jane Briggs is the daughter of Mark and Bridget Briggs and has an older sister. Her uncle, William "Buck" Briggs '76, is the radio color analyst for the Cornell football team. She is enrolled in the College of Human Ecology.
