Biography

As a senior (2018)
• Was 1-6 with a 6.94 ERA in 14 appearances, including five starts.
• Pitched 39.1 innings, striking out 18.
• Picked up a win against Columbia out of the bullpen in the final game of the series, allowing one hit and striking out three over two innings.
• Hurled a complete game the previous day against the Lions.
• Did not allow a run in 4.0 innings against Binghamton, giving up four hits.
• Allowed one run in 3.0 innings of relief at Dartmouth.

As a junior (2017)
• Led the team with five wins (5-10), a 4.37 ERA and seven complete games in 20 appearances (14 starts).
• Opponents hit just .263 against her.
• Struck out 54 in 83.1 innings of work.
• Earned a complete game, three-hit shutout over Ivy South Division champion Princeton.
• Hurled a perfect 1.2 innings of relief at Syracuse.
• Didn't allow an earned run in a hard-luck complete game loss to Ithaca, surrendering just two hits.
• Tied a career-high with nine strikeouts in a complete game win over Canisius.
• Struck out seven in complete games against Yale and Penn.
• Allowed one run in 2.2 innings of relief work against Brown in a 4-3 win.

As a sophomore (2016)
• Went 4-13 with a 7.55 ERA in 105.2 innings of work, striking out 58 batters and hurling complete games in 11 of her 15 starts.
• Picked up wins against Georgetown, George Washington, Albany and Colgate.
• Scattered eight hits and one earned run while striking out nine in a complete game victory at Colgate.
• Allowed just one earned run in a complete game victory against the Great Danes at home.

As a freshman (2015)
• Orcutt emerged as one of the league's top pitchers late in the season and posted an 11-12 record with a save and a 3.78 ERA in 124.0 innings of work.
• She struck out 90 batters, completed 13 of the 17 games that she started and hurled four shutouts.
• Went 5-4 with a save and a 1.85 ERA in the final 11 appearances of the season.
• Struck out a career-high nine in just five innings as part of a two-hit shutout over Siena.
• Ended her season with a two-hit shutout of Binghamton.
• In her final four relief appearances of the season (2-0, 1 save), Orcutt allowed just six hits and no runs over 10 innings while striking out seven.
• Hurled a complete game shutout, scattering six hits in a win at Columbia.
• Took a hard-luck loss at Albany, allowing just five hits and one earned run in 7.2 innings against Albany.
• Surrendered just one earned run in a tough 3-0 loss at Ivy champ Dartmouth.

At Lexington HS
• A two-time league all-star, Orcutt was named league MVP as a senior at Lexington HS.
• The four-year starter helped her team to a league title, posting a 0.39 ERA.
• She struck out 450 batters in her final two seasons, including a 31-strikeout performance in 15 innings in a game during her senior year.
• As a junior, Orcutt went 17-2 with 203 strikeouts and a 0.73 ERA in 104 innings of work and was twice named the Boston Globe Player of the Week.
• She pitched for the Polar Crush 18U Gold team, helping the team finish 16th at nationals – the highest finish for any northeastern team.

• Madeline Iris Kefalas Orcutt is the daughter of Joel Orcutt and Nicole Kefalas and has two younger sisters.
• Her grandfather, aunt and cousin all attended Cornell.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
