As a junior (2018)

• Batted .264 with six doubles, 12 RBI and 14 runs scored in 36 contests (30 starts).
• Posted a .980 fielding percentage with just two errors while splitting time between catcher and third base.
• Drove in three runs at Bucknell and two more in a series-clinching win over eventual Ivy champ Harvard.
• Was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in consecutive games against Delaware and Villanova.
• Went 3-for-4 with two RBI in the series-opening win over Princeton, going 5-for-10 in the three-game set.
 

As a sophomore (2017)

• Avery had a breakout sophomore campaign, hitting .310 with 11 doubles, four home runs and 17 RBI.
• Also scored 19 times with a .492 slugging percentage.
• Played a solid third base, posting a .961 fielding percentage.
• Started 41 of the team's 42 games.
• Upped her on-base percentage to .413 in Ivy League play, batting .313 and starting all 20 contests.
• Posted 11 mutli-hit games, including in three of the final four contests.
• Homered in her first game of the season, a solo shot against South Dakota.
• Hit a home run in wins over both Penn and Princeton.
• Went 4-for-8 with two runs scored and two RBI over the middle two games of the Princeton series.
• Was 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles against Brown.
 

As a freshman (2016)

• Avery hit .214 with four doubles, five RBI and 15 runs scored in 35 contests (32 starts) as a rookie.
• She posted four multi-hit games as a rookie, including against Seton Hall.
• Opened her career with a three-game hit streak.
• Singled in her first collegiate at bat with a third inning hit against Western Michigan.
• Was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base against Seton Hall.
• Went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored in the series finale at Penn.
• Drove in two runs in a win over Harvard in her first home contest.
 

At Yorkville HS

• Avery was a four-time all-conference selection at Yorkville HS.
• She earned both Defensive (2014) and Offensive (2015) Player of the Year Awards.
• Posted a four-year batting average of .463.
• Two-time academic all-conference pick.
• Led team to first conference championship in school history as a junior.
• Also lettered in basketball and volleyball.
 

Personal

• Madeline Brook Avery is the daughter of Todd and Sandy Avery and has an older brother and sister.
• She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the SC Johnson College of Business.
