Sophomore (2010): Quintero saw action in one game during his sophomore season, playing in the season finale against Mansfield.

At Henry J. Kaiser HS
Quintero lettered three times in football at Henry J. Kaiser high school, where he played cornerback and wingback. He was named a three-time all-academic team selection and helped his squad win the Sunkist League championship in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Quintero also played soccer for one season.

Alberto Buckets Quintero is the son of Alberto and Hilda Quintero and he has one older sister and one younger sister and brother. His older sister Cynthia graduated Cornell in 2010. Quintero is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
