Biography

As a Junior (2013)
Winters served as one of the Big Red's captains in his junior season and played in five of the team's seven games. 

As a Sophomore (2012)
Winters played in all but one game for the Big Red during his second season with the team, starting as Cornell's center in those contests. He was recognized for his outstanding line play when he was named to the All-CSFL Honorable Mention team at the end of the season.

As a Freshman (2011)
Winters took part in six games for Cornell in 2011, recording three tackles, half a tackle for loss and a fumble recovery.

Prior to Cornell
Winters was a two-time letter winner at Ithaca HS, winning the Best Defensive Lineman Award in junior varsity football during his sophomore year. He also lettered twice in basketball, winning the Coach’s Award his senior season.

Personal
Bennett Greene Winters is the son of Michael and Amy Winters and he has one younger brother. His uncle, Joseph Bonacci, played lacrosse at Syracuse University, and his uncle Cortlandt Winters played basketball at Vassar College. Winters was a National Merit Scholar finalist and is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.
