Biography
As a Senior (2012)
Clauser became one of the Big Red's primary receiving targets during his senior campaign, starting every game as Cornell's tight end. Clausner had the fourth-highest reception total on the team, catching 19 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown. The senior also had one tackle on the season. For his terrific season, Clausner was named to the All-CSFL First Team and also earned Cornell's Lt. Donald Sussman Most Valuable Player Award.
As a Junior (2011)
Clausner saw action in six games in his junior season, starting one, and recording the game-saving sack at the end of the second Mansfield game. Clausner tallied 14 tackles, including eight solo tackles, in his six games. He also returned one punt for three yards
Before Cornell
Clausner was a three-year letterwinner in high school playing quarterback and defensive back. The team captain as a senior, Clausner was awarded his school's Male Student Athlete of the Year award. He also spent four seasons playing tennis for his school, where he was all-conference as a sophomore, junior and senior. He finished in the top 32 in his state tournament as a senior.
Personal
Charles Mitchell Clausner is the son of Daniel and Renee Clausner. He has an older brother, Dillon, an older sister, Mary, and a younger sister, Elizabeth.
