Bill Congdon enters his third year with the sprint football team.

A graduate of Windsor HS where he played football, basketball and baseball, Congdon received his bachelor's degree in science education from Potsdam.

After graduation, Congdon returned to Windsor where he taught biology and coached football, wrestling and track. From 1985 to 1989, he was the head football and track coach for Norwich and then moved to Horseheads in 1990 where he was assistant and then principal at their elementary school. During that time, he was actively involved with athletics until he accepted the position of superintendent at Deposit Central School. In 2002, he returned to Horseheads as the superintendent of their school system and retired in December 2006.

Congdon resides in Horseheads with his wife, Ann. They have two sons and a daugher.
