Clarence Welch is in his seventh year with the sprint football program.

A 2004 graduate of Hartwick College, Welch participated in both football and track and won the school’s Unsung Hero award in football.

Welch was a three-sport athlete at Ithaca High School. A two-time captain for the football team, he received the team’s most valuable player honors in his senior season. Welch also received the Joseph Stone Memorial Award in basketball and competed on the track team.

Employed at Cornell in the admissions office, Welch resides in Ithaca and is the parent of Mabel Evans Welch and the late Clarence Welch Jr.
