Elberty joins Cornell sprint football as the defensive backs coach. He spent the previous eighteen seasons at Ithaca College as its Head Junior Varsity coach. 
 
Prior to his time at Ithaca, he coached high school football in programs throughout the state.
 
Elberty played college football at Saint Lawrence University.
