Fred Rothman enters his 12th year as an assistant coach with the sprint football staff in 2016.

He is a 1971 graduate of Oceanside High School, where he played both football and lacrosse. Rothman then attended SUNY Oswego, where he was a member of the lacrosse team. 

A former principal at Whitney Point High School in Whitney Point, N.Y., Rothman also taught high school at Windsor, Vestal and Binghamton, as well as serving as the assistant principal at Binghamton High School.

Rothman brings a wealth of coaching experience to the sprint football staff, having coached high school football and lacrosse in Windsor, Vestal, Union-Endicott and Ithaca. He also was a lacrosse coach for the Empire State Games.

In addition to his duties with sprint football, he has served as a volunteer lacrosse coach at Cornell for three years and also held a similar position last year at Binghamton University.

Rothman resides in Vestal, N.Y.
