Bill Walker is in his sixth year with the sprint football staff.

A resident of Painted Post, he received his B.S. in health and physical education from Murray State in 1966 and his M.S. in physical education from the University of Kentucky in 1969.

Walker brings over 37 years of coaching experience to the program and his collegiate coaching career includes stints as an assistant football coach at Maryville College (1998-2002) and at Mansfield University (1983-1997), where he helped develop a nationally ranked passing offense.

Prior to that, he spent 17 years coaching at the high school level, including an eight-year period as the head coach at Corning-Painted Post HS (1974-1982). His 1976 team at Corning-Painted Post went undefeated and he was awarded Area Coach of the Year.

Walker was elected to the Corning-Painted Post Sports Hall of Fame in 1997. He and his wife, Jean Ann, have two daughters and four grandchildren.
