Volpe is entering his first season with the sprint football program, serving as the offensive line coach.
Volpe joins the sprint staff after having spent the past nine seasons as an assistant coach at Ithaca College.
From 2008-13, Volpe worked with the Bomber's tight ends and fullbacks, coaching tight ends to First-Team All-Conference honors three times and All-America honors once. In 2014, Volpe took over the coaching duties for the running backs at Ithaca and held that position for three seasons. During his coaching tenure at Ithaca, he helped the Bombers earn playoff berths on three separate occasions in 2008, 2013 and 2014. 
Volpe, an Ithaca College graduate, lettered three times as a Bomber tight end, appearing in 27 games and helping Ithaca to the NCAA playoffs in 2005 and 2007. He was the recipient of the the Bomber Attitude Award following his senior season.
