Playing Career
Along with the rest of the SUNY Farmingdale lacrosse team, Evans won the 1981 National Junior College Championship. Prior to playing at Farmingdale, Evans played both football and lacrosse for Ithaca HS. A member of the class of '79, Evans was inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in March of 2015.
Personal
Since graduating from Ithaca HS, he has been working in the Ithaca area coaching youth football. Evans also referees lacrosse at both the high school and college levels and is a member of the National Black Lacrosse Leadership Hall of Fame.
He currently works for Cornell in the facilities department as the manager of the Fire Protection Systems as well as the Exit and Emergency Light Testing Program.
A native of Ithaca, N.Y., Evans raised three children, Darby, Drew and Nyasha.
