Biography
At Cornell
Junior (2009)
After serving as the primary backup during his first two seasons on East Hill, Corey moved into the starting quarterback role as a junior. An excellent athlete with a very strong and accurate arm, he completed 47-of-133 passes, throwing for 690 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions. Corey was also the second leading rusher on the team, running the ball 101 times for 347 yards (3.4 per carry). He averaged 49.6 yards per game and finished the year with three rushing touchdowns.
Sophomore (2008)
As a sophomore, Corey saw action in four games, completed 6-of-15 passes, throwing three touchdowns and two interceptions. He finished the season ranked second on the team with 116 rushing yards (5.0 per carry), including the longest run of the season for the Big Red, a 35-yard gain against Princeton. Corey got the start under center against the Tigers and led the Big Red to a 40-14 win, passing for 100 yards and a touchdown, to go along with 104 yards on the ground with two rushing touchdowns.
Freshman (2007)
Corey played in five games as a rookie and completed 13-of-28 passes with five touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed 26 times for 127 yards (4.9 per carry) and one touchdown.
At Triad
A tri-sport athlete at Triad HS, Corey played football, basketball and tennis. As quarterback, he guided his team to a conference championship in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and to the state quarterfinal playoffs in 2006. For his efforts, Corey was selected to the All-St. Louis Metro Area team and was a second-team all confrerence selection.
