At Cornell
First-Team All-CSFL (2010)
Senior (2011): Gomez wrapped up his four-year Cornell career by starting in all seven games at center. He was a mainstay on the offensive line and was again a key component in the Cornell rushing game.
Junior (2010): Gomez was a key member of an offensive line that helped the Big Red to have one of the strongest rushing seasons in program history, gaining 1,107 total yards on the ground (3.5 yards per carry) and averaging 158.1 yards per game. For his efforts, he was named first-team All-CSFL following the season.
Sophomore (2009): Gomez saw a significant increase in playing time as a sophomore, seeing action in all seven of the Big Red’s games. He was an integral part of an offensive line that blocked for one of the best rushing seasons in Cornell history, as the Big Red amassed 1,466 yards on the ground, the second most in the school record books.
Freshman (2008): Gomez played primarily as a back up during his rookie campaign, seeing action in two games.
At Suffield Academy
A three-sport athlete at Suffield Academy, Gomez participated in baseball and wrestling for three years and in football for four years. He served as captain for both his football and wrestling teams. Gomez's football team was the runner up at the Western New England championships.
